Is there a way I can protect my internet from Host Booters?

I was playing a gamebattles match and my oponnents host booted me off xboxlive. Not once but twice. My internet was fine all day too day. Weird right? Is there anyway I can protect my self from future attacks? Also I switched my internet to a dynamic internet ip address is that a good decision since I'm using a router?

My team won that gamebattles match regardless because I have two great players who are good enough to play a 2v3.

Nope. You really cant hide from them. You just have to live with the skid. Now if he keeps attacking you all day then go under a vpn for a while until he settles down and stops.

A good VPN would be proxpn (i think thays the name) or cyberghost.

Reset your modem , so you get a new IP , and it should keep him off of you for awhile.

    Sadly, no.

Go under a VPN if you want to be protected.

Everyone saying no does not know much about a booter..

Most booter nowadays are kids buying them off of HackForums. These booters are usually Shell booters or Putty Servers.
Basically, the only way to prevent being hit off, is to have a good company with either protection against things like that happening, or simply a good enough connection so that when you are hit, you stay online but lag just a bit.

And a Dynamic IP is technically the best you can get because it allows you to have a different IP upon being disconnected from the internet for around 30 seconds. During that reset, it allows your ISP to provide you with another IP. This is good, seeing as the only way the booter can get your IP again after this happening would be to join a party with you, a game, or grab your IP off a website.

Static is the same IP no matter what until you either call your ISP and ask them to change it, or ask them to give you a Dynamic IP.

A vpn actually wont help if he keeps playing GB because noobs will still hit the vpn ip. I would only use the vpn just to stop being hit offline and still have the ability to casual game with friends.

Can always switch IPs with a click of a button.

I've heard of something that changes your IP every few seconds.. That's Black Hat stuff though.
